Sculptor + Match

Sculptor+ CAD extends the capabilities of Sculptor Morph or Sculptor Morph Analysis to leverage Arbitrary Shape Deformation (ASD) technology to match a baseline model to a target model. Sculptor+ Match uses Sculptor's embedded GRG optimization techniques to minimize the difference between the baseline and target models The comprehensive and robust ASD technology provides the ability to match differing models. . This matching capability can be used to match deformed results from a different analysis or to match a design/analysis model to an as-built or as-is scan model.

Sculptor+ Match can be used with Sculptor Morph or Sculptor Morph Analysis for matching models. The process is straightforward as follows:

  1. Import baseline model
  2. Import target model
  3. Compare the baseline model to the target model
  4. Create an ASD Volume that encompasses both models
  5. Use Sculptor+ Match to minimize the difference between the baseline and target models

Using Optimal Solutions' Arbitrary Shape Deformation (ASD) technology, you can deform models to match a different target model.

Sculptor + CAD

Sculptor + CAD lets you return you modified designs back to their CAD format or morph them directly.

Sculptor + CAD is an add-on to Sculptor Morph and Sculptor Morph Analysis that provides the ability to import, modify, and export CAD data for most major CAD and standard based formats.

Sculptor + CAD supersedes the Back2CAD product previously offered by Optimal Solutions.

Sculptor Morph provides the capabilities for definition of Cartesian and cylindrical ASD volumes

Cylindrical ASD volumes are beneficial for shape modifications of near cylindrical objects and shape modifications that are radial in nature.

Shrink Wrap

Sculptor Morph provides the capabilities for modification of ASD volumes to fit the shape of your model through a "shrink wrap" operation.

"Shrink wrap" of an ASD Volume moves the control points of the Volume to the intersection with your model.
